???? HAIR ONLY - DOLL NOT INCLUDED ????

???? Photos of the gorgeous silicone Reborn doll have been used with permission from the superbly talented Cheryl Martin of ‘Chemar Silicone Art Dolls’. How incredible does my ‘Dark Mouse Brown’ Alpaca hair look on her! If you would like to see more of Cheryl’s work, you can find her on FB and IG. ????

Gorgeous Suri Alpaca fibre hand dyed ‘Dark Mouse Brown’. This beautiful hair has been washed thoroughly until the water was clear to ensure there is no dye bleed. Ideal for Reborn rooting; BJD & Miniature doll wigs; Blythe reroot; Needle felting fur for Cats, Dogs and other Animals; Woodland creatures Elves, Fairies, Pixies, Trolls; Prosthetic hair; Theatre and Makeup; Art & Craft projects. Cuticle aligned to reduce tangling. Suitable for Micro and Mono rooting. Sanitised, washed, combed and conditioned multiple times to remove unusable fibres for minimal waste. Sourced from a high-quality animal in Australia and ready to post for immediate use. ???? ❤️

Fleece Code: ALPACODYDKMB1

Available: 10g bundles

Animal: Suri Alpaca (premium fibre)

Colour: Dark Mouse Brown (Hand dyed and rinsed clear)

Characteristic: Long; Straight; Good drape

Length: Average 180-200mm

Thickness: 24 microns

I wash, sanitise and condition all my fibre multiple times to produce hair of the highest quality. All my doll hair is brushed out several times to remove the shorter fibres. I band my fibre into smaller sections to create easy-to-handle bundles, this helps to reduce waste as you are not trying to separate hair from bigger bundles and losing half of it in the process.

Alpaca fibre comes in a variety of microns, but I tend to prefer an average of 23-28 microns which is between kid and yearling Mohair. At this thickness, even if you end up with more than 1 hair in each hole it will not look ‘pluggy’, as each hair is a lot finer than yearling Mohair. Human hair is around 80microns so this will give you an idea of how much finer Alpaca is. ????

Even if you prefer to use Mohair on Reborn baby dolls, you will find that Alpaca is the perfect option for those fine hairs around the hairline, for the eyelashes and eyebrows, and also for lanugo, those sweet wispy hairs some babies have on their face. ????

*NB. Due to the variation of colour and length within each fleece it is recommended that you buy enough fibre for your needs in one purchase as subsequent batches may not match. All photos are taken in daylight to present this fibre as true to colour as possible but with multiple colour variations on electronic device this fleece may appear differently on your screen to what it actually is.

???? All orders are sent via Australia Post with tracking at the current postal rate. Although I will post your fibre as soon as possible I cannot control the time it takes for Australia Post to deliver. As such I cannot guarantee a delivery time or date. ????

Thank you for supporting Aussie businesses! ☺️ ????
