Hello and welcome to my creative space! My name is Elizabeth and I have been artistically creative since the age of 9 or 10. My art/craft interests to date have included knitting and crocheting; designing PDF patterns; leather stamping/carving; decoupage; photography; acrylic painting (art teacher for 16yrs); painting peg dolls; doll face-ups and outfits; doll wig making; wheel and hand pottery; spinning; resin jewellery; polymer clay jewellery and so many others I've forgotten!
My wonderful husband Nigel, and daughter Sarah, are the greatest supporters of my artistic and creative adventures! Nigel is the driving force behind this webpage as he has an amazing wealth of knowledge being a software developer and programmer, without him I would be lost! He is one of the most patient and positive people I have ever met, and I am so blessed to have him in my life. Sarah also is a blessing; she encourages and supports me in everything I do, and we have wonderful 'staff meetings' after school drop-off in the morning where we solve the problems of the world whilst drinking coffee!
In my shop I aim to offer Resin Doll Eyes in sizes 3-26mm (including Blythe Eye Chips); Wigs for Qbaby and Blythe Dolls; Unique doll clothes I have designed and created; Waldorf Inspired dolls; PDF Doll Clothes patterns; Knitted/Crocheted items; High quality natural fibre for doll hair, needle felting, prosthetics special effects and more! One step at a time as everything takes twice as long as you think it will in the creative world!
Most days you'll find me up to my elbows in Aussie Mohair, Alpaca and Wool fleece. I spend many hours processing this gorgeous fibre from its raw state into a premium product suitable for doll hair; needle felting; prosthetic special effects etc. All fibre bundles are cuticle aligned to reduce tangling, thoroughly brushed to remove unusable fibre, and ready for immediate use! Please feel free to send me a message if there is particular natural Alpaca fleece colour you are after, and I can bump it up the processing line.
My latest passion is Resin Eyes, and I have spent many months researching different techniques, resins and finishes. All my eyes are handcrafted from start to finish; you won't find a single printed image (CGI) used for any iris! I taught Art to adults for over 16 years and have been painting for well over 25 years, so it is exciting to transfer my knowledge in this area to all aspects of my craft, including resin eyes. Many many hours go into each set of eyes from start to finish, and it is so easy for an eye to be spoilt along the way, but after months of trial and error I am finally achieving consistent results. It is true I am a perfectionist, so unless I am very happy with the item I produce, it will not make its way into the shop.
I currently only deliver to Australia and New Zealand via this website, but also to the USA via Etsy. I will be adding the UK next once I work out the requirements etc. If you live outside these areas and are interested in my items, I do hope you can find a friend, fellow artist or family member within these countries who can purchase on your behalf and forward it to you.
Thank you so much for visiting, and I wish you all the best in your creative and artistic pursuits!
Blessings, Elizabeth
